A friend and I tried this place out after driving by countless times, and it was a very interesting experience indeed.
We were craving dessert, and to our pleasant surprise, the menu was large but it was basically all mango flavoured. I love mango so I have no complaints but for someone who dislikes mango or is allergic to them, sorry pal.
Also, I'm fluent in both English and Chinese, and I saw several items on the menu where the English and Chinese names just did not match. For example, one item is called "Mango and Coconut Duo Mix" in English but the Chinese name translates to "Mango and Coconut with black bean pudding"... what?
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and there's even a big tank of orange fish (although I must say there are no rocks or hide-out spots in the tank which makes me question how much this place knows about proper pet care) but anyway...
Our waitress was friendly, but she was quite odd - never checked on us, we had to ask her for the bill even though she walked by several times seeing our empty bowls, etc.
My friend and I both ordered mango noodles but were informed they didn't have it in stock, so we got mango balls instead.
The actual dessert tasted great, fresh, came out in reasonable time, the portion size is good, but price is slightly higher than what it should be.
Overall, we both enjoyed our experience here, and I'm definitely willing to return another day to try out something new, maybe a hot entree this time! -

Let's get down to the pros and cons of this new Chinese café that replaced Nov 8.
Pros:
-clean, spacious restaurant
-if you like mango, 3/4 of their dessert menu items features fresh mango, and taste pretty good
-the pomelo, mango & sago dessert was a unique balance of flavors and textures, and was tasty
-they have a decent and interesting selection of savoury food, too, including a "squirrel-like fish"
Cons:
-our poor waiter was so confused from start to finish
-even though they have a large dessert menu, most of it is subtle variations of the same mango dessert
-the seafood udon and pork belly dishes were mediocre
-the Red Bean Puppy Love tasted like a thick sludge of sweet red bean and not much else -

Came here for dessert one time and saw the food menu, looked good so wanted to try it. Finally had the chance today at lunch. The selection of food was okay, not too big, but fair enough. The 3 dishes we ordered were all great. Taste wise, definitely better than I expected. Pretty authentic. 地三鲜 was on the oily side, 干锅肥肠 very good, and highly recommend the 酸菜粉丝. Good interior decor and dining environment. Server could be a little more attentive. Overall a great experience and would recommend to friends. It's more than a dessert place, so hopefully more people will try and like the food.

To tell you the truth, this restaurant really suck! there is no English on the menu, there are few people in the restaurant, the food is not fresh and terrible. I really can't imagine anyone making a disgusting meal out of stale food.
